This identity is inspired by Hong Kong neon culture which is also the original city for Dim Sum.
Nom Wah Tea Parlor, the first Dim Sum place in Manhattan, remains hidden in the corner of Doyer Street and has retained its vintage appearance, good food, and great value throughout the years. This rebranding project for Nom Wah Tea Parlor aims to capture the essence of the place. In Hong Kong, neon signs populate the city, and its layers are composed of glowing symbols and architectures. However, the art of making neon lights has become a dying craft and visual culture in recent years. I aspire to raise people's awareness of this intangible cultural heritage while they enjoy this type of cuisine.
